I might be considered a big fan of Kevin Peddicord’s work. I’ve commissioned him on two pieces, one which was a very special painting for my father that has now come back into my possession since he passed, and the other to serve as the artwork for one of my published books. He was able to take my vision and expound upon it in such an imaginative way that the end results far exceeded my expectations. I have two other original pieces which are amazing. He evokes feelings of nostalgia when I look at his paintings, and he has a wicked element of humor within them. Anytime someone comes over to my house, his works are always a subject of conversation.
Kevin’s creative, campy and downright witty depictions of folks we know, or wish we knew, are a refreshing take on the modern portrait, and in my humble opinion, it’s about time! He spins a visual story and elicits real emotions through his wonderfully executed brushwork and choice of subject. We need art that will make us feel something, and Kevin’s work surely fits the bill. I for one am honored to know this wonderful artist and have his work adorn my studio walls.
Work shown in the picture at right is Linda's fabulous art!
Kevin Peddicord's art has a vibe. He offers a wickedly delightful skew to popular culture as he sees it, and calls to mind what an acid binge might be like with Norman Rockwell and Hugh Harman. There is always room for Kevin Peddicord on my wall
I am a huge fan of Kevin Peddicord’s painting style and content. As a fellow painter, his attention to detailed emotion and story telling through art is inspiring. This print is one of my personal favorites and hangs prominently in my farmhouse.
